SW Hills Traditional
This 1940s residence has been thoughtfully updated in phases, preserving its original character and architectural charm while enhancing functionality for modern family living. During the most extensive renovation, Jessica Lane Interiors collaborated closely with contractor Brian Stevenson to modernize the home's infrastructure, replacing galvanized plumbing, updating the roof, and reimagining the main level for improved flow and proportion.
The expanded kitchen serves as the heart of the home, with cased openings connecting it to the original dining room and a newly constructed breakfast room, creating stronger sightlines and more seamless connection between spaces. Finely crafted details like paneled wainscot, ceiling beams, plaster walls, and custom cabinetry add a layer of quiet luxury. Quality finishes – including honed calacatta marble, unlacquered brass hardware, and hardwood floors – were selected for their timeless appeal and ability to age gracefully in this family-centered home.
