Brunswick, Maine

Designed for a young family, this Maine home underwent a main-level transformation focused on improving flow, visibility, and everyday usability. Prior to renovation, walls separated each room, creating a series of dark, disconnected spaces. Jessica Lane Interiors reimagined the space, removing barriers and integrating the main living areas without adding square footage. The result is a bright, open environment that supports connectivity while maintaining a sense of warmth and character.

The renovation centers around a new kitchen layout featuring custom cabinetry, a generous island with seating, and a custom pantry designed to maximize storage. Durable yet classic finishes include quartz countertops, glazed ceramic tile backsplash, and refinished hardwood floors. The adjoining family room now serves as a comfortable gathering space, complete with a custom media cabinet, updated furnishings, and a cased opening to the kitchen.

Jessica Lane Interiors is currently engaged in the next project phase, which includes remodeling the upper floor bathrooms.

A stainless steel range is centered between banks of cabinetry and accented with a yellow Dutch oven on the cooktop. White quartz countertops and a glossy light gray ceramic tile backsplash create a clean, bright backdrop, while dark bronze hardware adds contrast and visual warmth. Styled accessories include a cookbook collection, wine bottle, and stovetop espresso maker.
